Atwell Arts Centre & Gallery is run by Melville Community Arts Association (Chris Marshall is their ex-President and current Coordinator). The Melville Community Arts Association (MCAA) has over 500 members aged from 6 to 93, 50-60% from the City of Melville and the rest from the Perth/Fremantle metropolitan area with a few from WA regional areas, interstate and even 1 or 2 from overseas. Atwell Gallery hours are 10am - 4pm, Monday - Friday and 1 - 4pm at weekends We run day, evening and weekend art classes for adults and children and have a variety of arts and craft groups that meet at our centre (including South of the River Potters, Atwell House Spinners, Alfred Cove Art Society). We organise Life Drawing sessions on Monday afternoons (3:30-6:30pm), Monday evenings (7-9pm) and the first Sunday of each month (9am-12noon). We also have an "open house" every Friday - if you are an artist, come along and join in else visit us and see artists at work.
