Exponential Expressions
collaborative art projects by
Chris Marshall and Debra Scidone

Visual Artists
based in
Perth, Western Australia

Following a successful collaboration in 2005 with the Two Rivers Project, Chris Marshall and Debra Scidone have now decided to form Exponential Expressions. Two very different styles, Deb doing mainly traditional pastels and watercolours while Chris does mainly contemporary mixed media and digital art, all framed under glass - the collaborative works will be acrylic/mixed media on large canvases, inspired by abstract patterns in nature.

why ?

"An infinite means of expressing ourselves with artworks that have many layers of meaning"

Exploring the double ‘X’ factor ( the special or the unknown)
that comes with collaboration from 2 artists already successful in their own styles

Ex-Presidents; we always had a notion that we would do something together once we were no longer in our roles as Presidents of the Melville Community Arts Association and Alfred Cove Art Society respectively in 2004 and 2005

Award-winning Artists x 2
= Infinite possibilities (to the nth degree)

Our first project is inspired by the Peel Region of Western Australia and the first canvas, "Mandjar Blues" has been created for the Mandjar Art Award 2007.
