Steve loves to photograph ordinary things and make them look extraordinary - its amazing what you see around you if you open your eyes |

Can't remember how we found out about
this website and we are not at all religious but this has to be one
of THE most inspiring things around - stunning photography (with the
most amazing wave shot that we have ever seen),
beautiful music and thought-provoking text ...

The beautiful Araluen Botanic Park where Chris Marshall, Debra Scidone, Lori Spencer-Neuzerling and Dana Shave were artists-in-residence for a week during the Spring Festival, 2005. Chris Marshall and Lori Spencer also participate in Araluen's "Art in the Park" on the last Sunday of each month.

The coastline and national parks around Esperance on the South East coast of Western Australia - these will definitely be the source of a variety of work for 2005. The islands of the Recherche Archipelago, the white beaches, the wonderful colours of the ocean, the salt lakes and the region's flora ...

The wildflowers at Coalseam Conservation Park near Mingenew were absolutely stunning - definitely the source of inspiration for our artworks for the Spring Exhibition at Atwell Gallery

We went to the
Gallows Gallery
in Mosman Park and saw the current
David
Thornton exhibition, "Landscape Design and Serendipity". We have
one of his watercolours, bought in the 1970s, hanging in our lounge. These days he is working in oils - we
particularly loved some of his more abstract works .. We also went to the Gomboc Gallery in Middle Swan to see Joanna Lefroy Capelle's exhibition "Marble Dust". We were inspired by the exhibition, the gallery itself and the other work displayed including some by Robert Juniper A friend sent me the Robert Genn Twice Weekly Newsletter as she thought that I might like to subscribe - I did! - then I sent it on to Margaret Coxall and she subscribed too, replied to her first letter (notes about her Atwell workshop "Keeping Afloat") and made it into the "clickbacks"! |
