The primary objective of the club is learning to make high quality grape wine in relatively small quantities in the process developing knowledge and pleasure.

To this end the club has access to a small vineyard in Balingup. Managing, harvesting and then making wine from this vineyard is the primary focus of the club's yearly site activities.

From time to time, club members sometimes make country wines from fruits, vegetables, flowers, leaves and herbs.

As well as tasting grape wines, both amateur and commercial, the club has a regular tasting programme and a monthly competition for country wines.

At monthly meetings the members taste one another's wine and discuss winemaking techniques. We share sources of fruit and winemaking equipment. The club owns a grape crusher and a wine press.

The club periodically undertakes group visits to commercial wineries or to associated clubs. Our members regularly enter wines in the local shows, particularly the Swan View Show
