As the name suggests, the softphone option is a software based
telephone keypad that resides on each computer. This software
provides a greater level of functionality for the money spent
when compared to hard phones, however it is software loaded onto
your computer. In the event that the computer is required to restart,
the phone will be off line for this period of time.
WA Networks uses (on all laptops) and recommends the IP Blue range
of soft phone's which emulate Cisco's physical devices in a more
cost effective software based format. |
